Homestead Exemption Application


We are currently accepting E-file applications for tax year 2026.

Please have the following information available for all applicants:

  1. Valid Florida driver license or Florida identification card

  2. Florida vehicle tag number and/or voter registration

  3. Social Security number, Date of Birth, Date of Occupancy, Marital Status and Phone number

The Leon County Property Appraiser's Office is committed to protecting your privacy and security. The information collected for the purpose of this application will only be retained until it has been processed by our office staff. At that point, your information will be removed from the E-file system.

NOTE: Disclosure of your social security number is mandatory and confidential. It is required by section 196.011(1), Florida Statutes. The social security number will be used to verify taxpayer identity information and homestead exemption information submitted to property appraisers.
